Hillsborough, NJ – Mateflex is excited to announce the successful transformation of a previously underutilized inline hockey rink at Harold Docherty Memorial Park in Hillsborough, NJ into a brand new, vibrant and exciting hub for local pickleball enthusiasts!
The existing inline hockey rink, while undersized for its original purpose, proved to be the perfect footprint for multiple pickleball courts. Utilizing Mateflex' TopCourt material, a product specifically designed for pickleball and tennis use, we were able to include four brand-new courts within the layout of the hockey rink that are now open for year-round use.

By removing the existing board system, the space could then be re-purposed in a variety of ways. In instances where we will be retrofitting a space for a new application, especially pickleball, it is highly recommended to address any cracks or uneven spots in the base prior to the tile installation. Making sure that there is a flat, smooth, crack-free subsurface underneath the TopCourt tiles will ensure that the pickleball courts will have a consistent bounce and will be a safe space for players of all ages for years to come.
