A municipality in Southern New Jersey recently installed two Mateflex III inline hockey rink surfaces on their aging courts. The municipality crew worked alongside factory supplied installation supervisors to make quick work of this transformation. Within 5 days, both courts were installed and ready for play.
The Department of Public Works for this municipality was tired of maintaining the asphalt coatings which are easily worn down from the nature of this sport. This led them to Mateflex and their unique system of interlocking polypropylene tiles that go right over the existing surface. The surface will last much longer than the coatings and can easily be repaired if breakage does occur by simply popping out the damaged tile and replacing it with a new one. It is a great improvement for their town park that is sure to make a lasting impact.
